ABOUT SCOUTING

The Cub Scouting program offers fun and challenging experiences that boys and parents do together. These experiences include such things as hiking, camping, racing, fishing, crafts, and swimming (http://www.scouting.org/Join/CubScouting.aspx). The goals set for the scouts are self paced, but encouraged through individual, group, team, and parent activities. Each scout will attain achievments and learn valuable life skills.
Assume leadership roles in clubs or school organizations
Make the honest, not easiest, decisions

The Cub Scout Academics and Sports program complements the scouting program by providing opportunities for scouts to improve scholarship, develop sportsmanship, and explore new games while collecting Cub Scout belt loops and pins (http://www.boyscouttrail.com/cub-scouts/acad-sports.asp).
