FALL 2010 CAMPOUT
The Fall Campout at Oso
Lake, located just off the
241 freeway, was more
than anticipated. It opened
with a traditional flag
ceremony for the many
Scouts and family members
in attendance. The weather
finally cooperated and the
camp was fairly dry!
There were many activities for the
Scouts. One of the most popular was
Archery with tomahawks close
behind. Everyone had fun!
The slingshot range proved that the salt
ammo had a mind of it's own as it hit
everything but the targets!
The hike across the dam and around the
lake was just long enough to let the
crowds thin out at the shooting ranges.
The cool weather provided some
challenges but I doubt many of the
boys ever broke a sweat... The pack
kickball game proved to be a big hit
with vitually all of the boys earning the
kickball beltloop.There was no clear
winner, but there were certainly no
losers - Everyone had a blast.
